Central Avenue BID, as a burgeoning district of ethnic and cultural diversity, is the perfect location for a technology focused business incubator.  With attention directed on young tech startups including; software developers, API developers, user interface designers and programmers, mobile application developers, social work agencies, and socially engaged businesses.  This project aims to add 100 plus high tech sector jobs into the now vacant building and serve as a neighborhood engine for economic development.  This effort is reinforced by the plethora of surrounding urban assets that the Central Ave BID has worked to develop and promote over the last 17 years in an effort to stabilize and revitalize the district. Success can be seen with the high ridership of the BRT system, a copiousness of ethnically diverse vendors, rich cultural diversity, low crime rate, a wide range of services, continuous and active storefronts, and access to SUNY Albany Nano Center.
